Rapid change in digital era

We are living in information era. Every things can change rapidly. We are living in exponential times. The first commercial text message was sent in December 1992. The number of text messages sent and received today exceeds the population of the planet. In 2005, the amount of technical information is doubling every two years and by 2010 it’s double in every 72 hours.
Today we face a huge change of our students radically. Today’s environment is no longer mach with our old educational system. We are witness of the arrival and rapid dissemination of digital technology in the last decades of the 20th century. Digital technology have rapidly change our behavior. Cell phone use every where in every time, thus communication become more intimate. It can perform both synchronize or non synchronize communication (like sms, email, ym!).
High-end cell phone equipped with fascinating application. So they called smartphone for their ability to perform communication in many sophisticated ways: sms, mms, internet messengger, or even facebook and facetime with iPhone.

Internet is everywhere. Technology for accessing the net is getting smaller, stronger and cheaper. Hotspot is no longer scarce. Serve as common facility in cafes, malls, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, or many other public facility. Today, there are students in China, Australia, Austria, India, Bangladesh, and the USA who communicate, create and evaluate on projects together every day using internet.

The digital native

Kids bring their gadget to interact each other, seek entertainment and also become target of digital advertisement. The bombardment of digital technology makes this teenager become screenagers. They growing up with a mouse and soon with a touch screen in their hands. Digital is their language.
Marc Prensky gives them name ‘a digital native’, a person who was born during or after the general introduction of digital technology, and through interacting with digital technology from an early age, has a greater understanding of its concepts. Digital native is people who grew up with the technology that became prevalent in the latter part of the 20th century, and continues to evolve today.

Prensky refers to accents employed by digital immigrants, such as printing documents rather than commenting on screen or printing out emails to save as a hard copy. Digital immigrants are said to have a "thick accent" when operating in the digital world in distinctly pre-digital ways, for instance, calling people into a room to see a webpage instead of sending them the URL. A digital native might refer to her new "camera"; but a digital immigrant might refer to his new "digital camera".

Similarly, parents clash with their children at home over gaming, texting, YouTube, Facebook and other Internet technology issues. What many digital immigrants miss is that digital natives grew up with technology, and it is how they connect with their friends, perform research, and feel at home. Young people are not "addicts" or "bad" simply for using the tools of the world they grow up in. In their 2011 article, Dr. Ofer Zur and Azzia Zur discuss the issue of generation clashes at home, school and the workplace.

Education, as Marc Prensky states, is the single largest problem facing the digital world as our Digital Immigrant instructors, who speak an outdated language (that of the pre-digital age), are struggling to teach a population that speaks an entirely new language. Immigrants suffer complications in teaching natives how to understand an environment which is "native" to them and foreign to Immigrants. Prensky's own preference to this problem is to invent computer games to teach digital natives the lessons they need to learn, no matter how serious. This ideology has already been introduced to a number of serious practicalities. For example, piloting an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in the army consists of someone sitting in front of a computer screen issuing commands to the UAV via a hand-held controller which resembles (in detail) the model of controllers that are used to play games on an Xbox 360 game console.

Pros – Cons of digital technology

The introduction for earlier children to computer have significant effects. They become discontinues concentration, lack of physical experiment and multitasking person. There is solid evidence regarding the effects of technology on cognitive skills development, particularly in areas related to visual-spatial skills and nonverbal forms of intelligence.
The ability to deal with two- and three-dimensional images, spatial visualization, and the skills needed to read images, the ability to recognize the information which images contain, as well as the ability to interpret images, are expected to improve with repeated practice, for example, through the regular use of multimedia and computer games.

Many computer applications have design features which require visual rather than verbal information processing. The constant enhancement of the graphic design and realism of video games in the last years presents new dimensions of spatial, iconic and dynamic features, which provide a new environment for children to develop a set of skills concerning visual attention, orientation and spatial representation.

Arriving with blog and social networking there new kind of activity for internet user: Prosumer of information. People no longer only seek and read information but they produce their information as well. There are segments on TV program over common people as amateur journalist posting their movie or coverage. TV media can produce interesting program just by picking up video clips or scenes that’s already posted in Youtube or public photo domain in the internet.

Dealing with negative effect

Of course there are tons of negative potentials lurk in digital era. Among educators, pornography and violence are the top most concern to be banned for their negative impact for young people. Young people have tremendous curiosity on pornography cannot be control with internet filter application like Netnany.

The last Minister of Information declares regulation of filtering pornography and introducing save internet program but many netter point as useless effort. Too many ways to access the abundant adult materials against poor internet filter capability. And there are too many ISPs and ‘Warnet’s must be watch for breaking policies by providing bad but ‘interesting’ internet contents. Internet industry serve ‘bad’ content’ because they become magnet for youngsters and gain more profit from it.

Playing with videogames or online games which support violence or sexual stereotypes do have a negative effect on young people, particularly if the use is far from being moderate. There is also a correlation between longer playing times of computer and video games, and low academic achievement. But, with many warnets over online games every corner right now, many young people get addicted by using internet games more than 3 – 4 hours every day. So, who will watch them all whenever they violate the rules.

It is already clear from well documented research (Bracken & Lombard, 2004) that children can recall what they learn from a computer, especially if they are rewarded. However, the crucial question is how computers are affecting skill learning, cognition and the skills necessary for reasoning, problem solving, reading and creativity.
Most students who still have limited technology access obtained below-average academic achievement. Student with lower experience in technology use –especially computer and internet- will suffer the same. But an in-depth analysis shows that students with moderate technology use (not excessive one) have the best achievement. Students who are less confident in their ability to carry out daily tasks on a computer or the Internet also had worse results than more confident students.
The many and easy ways in which information can be found in the Internet, copied and pasted, has also raised concerns about plagiarism, particularly in university settings but also increasingly in schools.

This is, in fact, an indication of the shortcomings of the lack of appropriate media education in schools, and the need to incorporate in curricula not only the technological skills required to manage information from a technical point of view, but also the values that inspire concepts which are difficult to grasp at early ages but may have a long lasting impact, such as intellectual property, academic authority, or even the difference between finding and downloading information and constructing knowledge, personally or
collectively.

The Internet and online gaming are a part of the world we live in and that our children grow up in. Like a knife, it can be used for help or for harm. We must find ways to bridge the digital divide between parents, teachers and children, as the disharmony between parents, teacher and children can produce a bigger problem like misuse of Internet or gaming addictions. In this increasingly technological culture, children need our guidance, not our resistance, in navigating the world they inherit. Rather than demonize the digital age, we can show them the beauty of the natural world and help them use technology as the helpful tool that it can be. Of course, to teach something, one must be willing to hear input about it.
At the end of the day, our children will make their own choices about whether and how they use the Internet and gaming. The best we can do is set a good example, clear boundaries, and impress upon them values of balance between online and offline life. With help, we can make a cultural shift to help new generations view and use the Internet and gaming as tools for healthy and sustainable use.
What children learn from game is about anything. Many game developer create sophisticated MMORPG game that not only provide with awesome graphic and sound effect but also need expert strategy and team work to acomplish game mission. Strategy with complex decision making, cooperation, team building to solve complex tasks, foreign language, ecomonic chalenge and so on are subjects they can learn during playing and mastering the game.

Ipsos Mori (2007) research found interesting student’s opinion by asking question: In which three of the following ways do you prefer to learn? The answer is:
In groups 55%
By doing practical things 39%
By using computers 31%
From teachers 19%
From friends 16%
By copying 8%
At the library or museum 5%

So then ask your teachers or principals how they conduct curriculumn and deliver their lesson.

What is a Supernova?

In terms of language word supernova consists of the word "super" and "Nova" the meaning of super based on the super dictionary "Collins Cobuild Advanced Leaner's Dictionary" which means something in life to identify the quality and very much. And word “nova” based on dictionary words " Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English of ", which means a star that exploded and suddenly become brighter than normal for a short time. While supernova is a term stars explode because it ran out of fuels used to make nuclear fusion reaction that is a proponent of a star. Balancing their own pressure to exit from the style pull the mass large. Supernova energy that emanated with the stars during a broadcast to millions of billions of years.

For some types of astronomy supernova used to observe about the distance or the age of a galaxy. The explosion, which each stars which had it will be different each other, depending on the initial mass before the explosion. If the big, it will be possible occurrence of a black hole that can absorb everything around it, and opposite it if the explode star is tiny will a neutron star.

B.The types of Supernova explosion

Divided into two perspectives, if the first is viewed from the line that indicates the spectrum of harmful chemical also contained temperatures during the explosion and the way the stars themselves explode, discussions as follows:

1.Based on spectrum line

Type 1a

Type 1b

Supernova this type will occur if the supply of Hydrogen on the star 20 times or more from the mass of the sun with a star called Wolf rayet, the result of this explosion can be gamma rays.
And during the observation in this type of supernova is not found hydrogen or helium spectrum line.

Type 2
This explosion came from a star explosion the mass is eight times greater than the sun, the energy produced from fusion Hydrogen to helium produce heat in the core star. The pressure that occur in the star's core function to compensate for balancing with its gravitation.

This giant star also known as the hydrostatic Equilibrium gravity where the stars can be balanced with the pressure in core of the star.

Classification of supernova based on star energy source:

A.Supernova Thermonuclear
It is an explosion of a tiny star. The shape of the hypernova explosion (explosion greater than ordinary supernova), due to have a very large mass (100 times the mass of the sun). The explosion of this type of star will become a black hole.

D. Supernova Observation

A. The difficulty to get up

Some of female students of Assalaam third Senior High School said that the difficulty of Subuh praying is caused by many factors:

1. Internal factor
Can not be lying that the part of female students in particular the female students from third Senior High School have hobby to sleep fused night. They sleep dissolved night is caused by the negative activity or positive activity. In the positive activity they study until dissolved night to finish their home work or assignment from the teacher. In negative activity the students doing something which is not benefit like storing something, someone and talking about something is not useful. When they talking about something they remembered that they used a long time to talk something is not benefit.

Some of female students of third Senior High School answered that internal factor is lazy which caused them don’t want to get up at fajar time.

Some of female students tell that the difficulty to get up at fajar time it caused unperfected sleeping, it means some of them slept earlier but they don’t plan to get up at fajar time then they remember to pray before sleeping and not doing activity which was sampled by Rasulullah the causes of it slept.

2. External factor
From the external factor the female students to get up late at the fajar time is the impact of their circles. If they have good friends they will be good person but if they have bad friends they will be bad person. The external factor is very influence in the activity to get up at fajar time. So to consistent on good activity, we must strong to keep something which on our self and find friends who bring us to the goodness.

The easily to get up at Fajar time
The meaning was explained on the first line that getting up in the fajar time is so difficult if we haven’t awareness to support this good activity. But to get up at fajar time is something which it is easily for the person who was habitual.

Some of the female students of third Senior High School to get up easily but if some of them are gotten up. This matter which still planted in female students if haven’t controlled from their teacher, they feel that is not obligate to get up at fajar time, exactly they stay to sleep on their bed and in fact of they haven’t regretting about what they do. This phenomenon is so missing because some time the teacher is having some work and can not controlling and then nothing persons in the mosque to pray jamaah.

Some of female students of third Senior High School talked of factor and habit to get up early was saved on their memory because this was habited Someone needs some helping to aware consistent to get up at fajar time to pray Subuh in the Masjid.

Like we research that at the first chapter was explained that many phenomena at getting up at Subuh. The female students rarely to use this habit, only a little part of female students of third class are without gotten up with something else. Firstly habiting to get up early is so difficult, need some commitment with good planning so that our self have some good habiting to get up Subuh on time. The person who has good habiting is someone who has good time management.

2. The activity of female students of third class after getting up
Some of female students of third class that I interview or is inspected, their activity after getting up at subuh or after the teacher controls are sleeping again because of them waiting to go to bath room to take ablution. At the time they are still sleepy. Sleeping after getting up is phenomena causes of them praying jamaah late, although if they get up at the sun rise, that is unconscious become to some phenomena which is difficulty to be lost. Retno Kurniasih answered that the activity of female students of third senior high school after getting up is hang up on the their bed 50%, 30% sleeping again, 20% forward to stand up and take ablution.

The late of female for subuh praying is causes waiting their friends and after that they road slowly although iqamah was heard. It is some of all phenomena after getting up on subuh time

1.The habit of subuh praying of female students of third senior high school
At the beginning meddle in third senior high school; they still have little consideration from female students of third senior high school about praying on time, especially at Subuh praying. Because on the second senior high school, they habited with their opinion to be manager arbitrarily because they considered that they are leader.

At the time they starting to realize that so important to pray jamaah on time in masjid, about 50% has done although with every way in the meanwhile gotten up by the teacher, remind between their friends and turn on the watch.

With the high self consideration from each of female students about the important of subuh praying if doing to the masjid, it will appear some good consideration. It the beginning to good consideration will appear good character. The follow some of people who starting good consideration to pray subuh in masjid at the subuh praying to train self discipline and time discipline. In other wise some of good consideration can refresh body and spiritual.

The approach our self to Allah
At the third senior high school, the female students started some etiquette which is so strong, it is close our self to Allah, although much some reward which is required The reward whom they want are swift to the test, to easy from tahfidzul Qur’an. Because at the subuh time the air is so fresh and not some pollution from the vehicles, they can learn by heart of holy book so easy. At the subuh time, our brain is so pure and fresh; it is time exactly to learn Al-Qur’an. At the time we can approach our self to Allah because Allah misses all his servants who believe Him and approach Him.

Going to masjid is a regulation
First, because we are female students so our obligation is going to the masjid to pray jamaah. Second, we must obligate all of rules in Assalaam. In the first time, it is so difficult but some times, it makes our self discipline and causing our self to be good person. The rules must be obeyed so our obligation and do it. But some of female students who explained that go to the masjid just for writing list in the student department office (Retno). This is just for requisition to come out from Assalaam on holiday (Ayu). Go to masjid is some necessity because we are Moslem (Aristiana). From my imitation go to masjid is some of female students not including sincere go to masjid because they feel that it’s some fact of being forced.

2.The paradigm of female students of third senior high school about time coincidentally at subuh praying
The first paradigm which is implicit about time coincidentally at the subuh praying, it is some rules and we must do it (Retno). In other word, the opinion from Aristiana it is some rules not obligation and then if we don’t like it, we must not do it. The opinion from Ayu, subuh praying is merit resources because in this time Allah promised some reward for us if we do it.

If we know that subuh praying have many superiority, we are definite do it, and our negative paradigm. If negative paradigm lost from our self certainly will appear positive paradigm to pray subuh on time not only to obey the rules but also to do some Moslem obligation. The positive paradigm is so benefit to our self because it makes good person and makes our brain always have a positive thinking.

In other word, the female students of third senior high school are of certain opinion that goes to masjid just to look some one whom they loved or just study. Go to masjid just to look for a good name. If they have a good name, they will do what they want, because the manager and the teacher believed them.

The word of fajar involve to mean Subuh Pray because consist of chapter from (Tasmiyatu ‘sy – syuibilazimihi) about meaning Subuh which is from “Shobbuha – Yashbuhu ishbahan wa shobihan “and Shobuha I – Wajhu from this meaning is face which are ray and capture. But Al – Ishbah is morning time Subuh. Subuh was made from the word Shubhah because it is bundling between white and red like someone who has white skin. That word from Shobih or Ashbah.

Subuh praying is pray very important in one day because if we are not pray Subuh in one day we feel so bad and then our daily life in a mess. Why Subuh pray so important for Muslim life because first it is noble time, second it is first time, third it is remember time.

If we like Rasulullah life, Subuh praying is first daily life and night is first time to rest, Insya Allah is not for mistake. Not for problem in our life if we do Sunnatullah or in Al-Quran.

1. The punishment to someone who forgets to pray Subuh
Usually we sleep and we can’t pray Subuh when it’s out of the time with sun rise and without doing something which important is big sin. If we do it, we fall in to bad work and in fact of we go to hell except we repent to Allah. Allah acceptances our repenting or pardon from Allah.

But some one who was sleepiness until do not praying Subuh on time and this is not his daily life, is not sin for him. The pen to write bad work is lifted from some one who sleeps until he wakes up. Sleeping is not important for our life but praying and repent to Allah is very important because our sustaining principal, Allah who knows when we dead. We must obligate praying to Allah every time and every where. And we must aware to pray Subuh on time.

Imam Al-Bukhori and Muslim story from Anas that the Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H said: “If any person forget (doing) pray or sleep from it, he should do it if he remembers it. From the other story say: “If some one from our sleeps (do) pray or forgets to pray, he should do it if he remembers
